Glass Fireplaces by Bloch Design

These Bloch Design fireplaces would be a total showstopper in the right contemporary setting. I’m in love with the look of a few of them. I have to admit though, I get a not so good paranoid image of the possibilities…
My imagination leads me to see myself crashing my shin into the glass hearth - OW!, then losing my balance and falling towards the glass. Assuming the glass is strong enough to not shatter with the force of my fall, my face and hands would slide down the glass, getting singed in the process, and I would lie broken physically and psychologically on the floor, looking at the evidence of my clumsiness imprinted on the glass.

I love those fireplaces, never thought glass and fire would go well together, like you said, surely the glass would heat up so much you’d be able to fry eggs on on :/
